The SBBA is dedicated to supporting and advancing the growth of Black-owned businesses. Our purpose is to create opportunities for access to capital, provide advocacy and resources, and foster cooperative economic models that uplift entrepreneurs and strengthen communities.

Membership

Membership in the SBBA is a privilege and not a right.

Members agree to uphold the values and mission of the SBBA.

Members must provide accurate information when applying for or maintaining membership.

The SBBA reserves the exclusive right to approve, deny, suspend, or terminate membership at its sole discretion and without prior notice if it determines that any action, conduct, or representation by a member is inconsistent with the values or mission of the SBBA.

Use of Website

The content on this website is provided for informational, educational, and networking purposes.

You may not misuse this website by engaging in unlawful, harmful, or disruptive activity.

Unauthorized use of SBBA trademarks, logos, or content without prior written consent is prohibited.

Membership Agreement

This Membership Agreement establishes the terms and conditions under which individuals and businesses may become members of the Small Black Business Association (SBBA). By applying for and maintaining membership, you agree to be bound by this agreement.

1. Purpose of the SBBA

The SBBA is dedicated to empowering Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs by providing access to resources, advocacy, cooperative funding opportunities, and community support. Membership in the SBBA is intended to promote economic growth, cooperation, and fairness within the Black business community.

2. Eligibility for Membership

Membership is open to individuals and businesses that support the mission and values of the SBBA.

Applicants must provide complete and truthful information on membership forms.

The SBBA reserves the right to review and determine eligibility for membership at its discretion.

3. Membership Rights and Benefits

Members will have access to SBBA resources, events, programs, and networking opportunities.

Members may participate in SBBA initiatives and have the opportunity to collaborate with other members.

The SBBA may expand or modify membership benefits from time to time without prior notice.

4. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to uphold the values and mission of the SBBA in all business and community activities.

Members must conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect toward other members.

Members must comply with all SBBA policies, including the Terms of Use of the SBBA website.

5. Membership Fees

If applicable, members agree to pay membership fees as established by the SBBA. Membership fees are non-refundable. Failure to pay required fees may result in suspension or termination of membership.

6. Suspension and Termination

Membership in the SBBA is a privilege, not a right.

The SBBA reserves the sole discretion to suspend or terminate membership without prior notice if it determines that a member’s actions are inconsistent with the mission, values, or best interests of the SBBA.

Suspension or termination may occur for reasons including but not limited to misconduct, dishonesty, nonpayment of fees, or violation of this agreement.

7. Limitation of Liability

The SBBA is not responsible for any losses, damages, or liabilities incurred as a result of membership participation. Members agree to hold the SBBA harmless from any claims related to their membership.

8. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of appropriate courts.

9. Amendments

The SBBA reserves the right to amend this Membership Agreement at any time. Any updates will be posted publicly with the effective date clearly indicated. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of all amendments.

SBBA Code of Conduct

The Small Black Business Association (SBBA) is dedicated to advancing the growth and success of Black-owned businesses. Membership in the SBBA is a privilege that comes with responsibilities. All members are expected to follow this Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, supportive, and professional environment for all.

1. Respect and Integrity

Members must treat one another with respect at all times. Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

2. Professionalism

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner in all SBBA activities, including meetings, events, online forums, and business dealings.

3. Honesty and Accountability

Members must provide accurate information about themselves and their businesses. Dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation is grounds for immediate termination of membership.

4. Support for Black-Owned Businesses

The SBBA exists to uplift and empower Black-owned businesses. Members should make every effort to support and collaborate with one another in a spirit of cooperation.

5. Compliance with Laws and Policies

All members must comply with applicable laws and with SBBA policies, including the Terms of Use and Membership Agreement.

6. Positive Contribution

Members should actively contribute to the growth and mission of the SBBA. This includes sharing resources, participating in programs, and promoting opportunities for other members whenever possible.

7. Zero Tolerance for Misconduct

The SBBA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership at its sole discretion for any conduct deemed harmful to the mission, values, or reputation of the organization.
